N2 - Optical phased array (OPA) is a promising solid-state beam steering method. However, small scanning field of view (FOV) and grating lobes aliasing constraint its applications. Therefore, an omnidirectional all-solid-state aliasing-free scanning method which is implemented by two-dimensional liquid crystal OPA and conical mirror is presented. Experimental results demonstrate desired scanning with FOV of 360° × 1.1° and scanning error is less than 0.2° × 0.03°, without moving parts and grating lobes aliasing.
