Abstract
A numerical method is presented that simulates explosion in soil medium. A code M-MMIC2D based on this method can be used to simulate the spherical charge exploding in semi-infinite soil medium. The simulation results are found to be in full agreement with the principle of physics and experimental data. Which indicates that the model and algorithm presented in this paper are reasonable and the simulation method can be used for simulating the formation process of cavity through blasting in soil.
