Abstract

Semi-active laser detection is used extensively on many kinds of weapon systems in the military field. On the basis of the principle of semi-active laser detection, different expressions of echo power have been considered for different sizes of the beam and the target. Numerical simulations for varied situations were done with Matlab software. Valuable conclusions were drawn for the designation of semi-active laser guided mortar munitions.
