Abstract

To explore the process and factors of damage to brick walls at the scene of blast case, the AUTODYN program is used to simulate the dynamic response of brick walls under blast loading. The distribution of blast pressure on brick walls and variation of hole induced by explosion are obtained. The results show that, blast loading will make a hole on the brick walls; the more the amount of explosives is, the more increase the size of hole is. With the amount of explosives continues to increase, the rate of increase of hole size will get slow.
