Abstract

The nozzle spray characteristics of micro-turbine engines affect the stabilization of flame of the combustion chamber, the distribution of temperature, and the efficiency of combustion. The article simulates the spray process in a micro-turbine engine, and measures the spray flow field using particle velocimetry. The calculated results and experimental results were compared with each other, and it showed good consistencies. These data can provide theoretical and experimental foundations for the nozzle design, combustion chamber design and numerical simulation of micro-turbine engines.
