Abstract

Burning rate is an important quality index of delay compositions and ignition compositions. Traditional techniques for measuring burning rate could only be used to measure average burning rates of delay compositions and ignition compositions with a low precision. To solve this problem, CCD(charge coupled devices) technique was introduced in this paper to measure the instantaneous burning rates of delay compositions and ignition compositions. The burning rates of Ti-BaCrO4, delay compositions were measured with this technique. Corresponding results (diagram of relationship between delay compositions height and time, curves of instantaneous burning rates, and change of average burning rate with pressure) were given.
