Abstract

This paper presents a new hybrid Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) algorithm by combining the Space-Time Multiple-Beam (STMB) algorithm and Direct Data Domain (D3) method, which can remove the discrete interference in the nonhomogeneous clutter. The STMB algorithm has low computational load, sample support and strong robustness to array element error. However, it is very difficult to detect the target in the primary range cell when there are some discrete interferences since the training samples do not contain the information of discrete interferences. Therefore, a new D3-STMB hybrid method is proposed, in which D3 method is applied to process the discrete interference in the primary range cell and then the residual interference is suppressed by using STMB algorithm. The performance of proposed method is demonstrated by the simulation.
