Abstract
The dynamic mesh update methods in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) were analyzed. A new dynamic mesh update method named zone moving and dynamic laying was presented. The theory of this method was described. The numerical simulation of vertical launching process of missile in the concentric canister launcher (CCL) and the cushion process of a hydraulic cylinder was carried out. The conclusion shows that the method is valid. The dynamic mesh used on the complex shape can be accomplished. Compared with local mesh recombination method, the efficiency of numerical simulation is trebled.
