Abstract

A new damage model has been developed for rock blasting, which is based on the existing TCK models. The attenuation on wave velocity is used to define damage parameter and its evolution. In order to verify the new model and obtain material parameters, the rock shock-induced experiments on light-gas gun have been done. Simulation results indicate that the calculation by using the new model can satisfy the need of engineering practice.
