Abstract
Aiming at the acquisition problem of direct sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) signals with large Doppler offset, a new method based on fast Fourier transform (FFT) is proposed. This method estimates Doppler frequency by eliminating PN code two-phase modulation effect, then gains code phase estimation by circular correlation. The parallel search of Doppler and code phase makes acquisition time hold a constant value. Computer simulations indicate that the acquisition time with this method is much shorter than others and it is independent of Doppler offset.
