Abstract

A fuze-specific method of modeling near field Doppler signal by analyzing target electromagnetic scattering properties is presented. Basing on the continuous wave Doppler fuze, the research is mainly about the plane-target and provides the engagement Doppler signal characteristics, including amplitude and spectrum characteristics on the condition of near field. The methods of physical optical (PO) and physical theory of diffraction (PTD) are used to calculate the radar cross section (RCS) of target surfaces and edges. The model of target scattering is built and the near-field Doppler amplitude and spectrum are provided.
