Abstract
The single-crystal X-ray structure of C14H6O 7 was analyzed. The compound was prepared by the hydrothermal reaction of SmCl3.nH2O and naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylic dianhydride in water. After heating at 433 K for 3 d and cooling to room temperature at a rate of 13 K h-1, yellow needle-shaped crystals of the compound were obtained. In the compound, strong O-H···O hydrogen-bonding interactions between the molecules resulted in a one-dimensional chain-like supramolecular structure.
