Abstract

Power pack of vehicle consists of many different kinds of subsystems, which are coupled with complex dynamic interactions. To obtain the goal of synthesis performance of vehicle, the different disciplinary simulation models should be integrated with other vehicle components in a complete vehicle simulation to implement system-level dynamic simulation of power pack. In order to couple the different simulation tools, which are used to build different disciplinary simulation models, multidisciplinary collaborative simulation based on High Level Architecture (HLA) is utilized. This paper designed a MATLAB-RTI interface to achieve simulation parameters and control commands interaction between RunTime Infrastructure (RTI) and simulation models. Furthermore, a multidisciplinary collaborative simulation platform is developed. Finally, a practical development example of a power pack performance simulation based on vehicle accelerated process using the multidisciplinary collaborative simulation platform is introduced. Results demonstrate that multidisciplinary collaborative simulation based on HLA is an effective approach to assist power pack system design.
