Abstract

This paper focuses on fault diagnosis for a class of widely used digital multi-line sensor. After definition of the multi-line sensor, the main features of the sensor's output data are analyzed. A fault diagnosis method which does not rely on the system model where multi-wire sensor used is proposed. The method adopted by analyzing the changes of sensor's output data and calculating the inherent characteristics to complete the fault diagnosis and isolation. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that this method can diagnose and isolate multi-wire sensor fault accurately, and it is a practical fault diagnosis and isolation method.
