Abstract

A fluid-solid coupling computational method was developed to describe the process of explosion in rock. The Eulerian multi-material hydrodynamic code was used to simulate the behavior of explosion field. The Lagrangian discontinuous deformation analysis(DDA) code was used to calculate the response of rock. The coupling technology was used to merge these two codes. The rock and explosion air were simulated using the codes. The computed results show that the method is able to simulate the explosion in rock.
