Abstract

Various pose-based geometric features were proposed to describe the relations between the limbs and body trunk. According to a feature coding function, all the motions in a database were filtered into the geometric code stream. By incorporating these geometric feature codes with traditional index tree, an efficient indexing tree was constructed to assist content-based retrieval in large motion database and extend linearly. The experiment results tested on the huge motion database containing frames prove real-time and effective.
