Abstract

Aim To simulate correlated Gaussian radar clutters. Methods Based on the modern spectral estimation method, a modified Levison's algorithm was proposed to simulate the radar clutters of typical correlated power spectral characteristics and estimate the order of corresponding AR model. Results and Conclusion The correlated clutter sequences, their statistical characteristics of probability density and their power spectral characteristics were given. The correctness and the practicality of this method are shown by simulation results.
