Abstract

The scattering center theory is of great significance to radar tracking and identification of targets. For multi-component targets, the two components are coupled to produce a double scattering effect. The position of the equivalent scattering center is often not on the target surface and difficult to determine, which will cause interference to the target positioning and feature recognition. This is called a false scattering center. Taking two super quadric surface cylinder targets as an example, the calculation method of the false scattering center position generated by double scattering is given, and the scattering center model of the target is proposed. The accuracy is compared with the simulation results of the full wave method.
