Abstract

It is proposed a novel solution named engine torque extract generating system to solve the problem of electric energy supply in walking mechanism. Engine couldn't drive the regulator directly because of its time-varying speed. A pump controlled motor system was adopted to serve as the speed regulator between the engine and generator. The mathematic model of this system was deduced, and two controllers were designed. The first one was named gain scheduled controller with responsibility for slaking the engine speed disturbance. And the next one was PI controller which was expected to eliminate the steady-state error and generator shocking load. The simulation results prove the feasibility of this solution of generating system in walking mechanism.
