Abstract

The microwave absorption properties of the ZnO nanowire-polyester composites were investigated. It was found that the maximum absorption was enhanced by increasing the concentration of the nanowires in the composites. It was observed that the microwave absorption varies with the different concentration of the nanowires in composites. The results show that the interfacial multipoles, high surface-to-volume ratio and similar shape of the nanowires to the antenna mainly contributed to the strong microwave absorption in X band.
