Abstract

The modulation transfer function (MTF) is a means of characterizing the image quality of the optical system. The method of measuring the photoelectric camera system is recommended with MTF. A simple and quick method for measuring MTF was presented. Star image tested by MSFC-IV middle and short-focus collimator, and sample was sampled by Charge Coupled Device-CCD automatically. The measurement method is easier and simpler, and provides a fast and precise MTF measurement for the photoelectric camera system.
