Abstract

An approach to synthesis a range profile for a simplified tank model by using frequency-stepped pulse trains is presented, then features extraction and pattern bank building for identifying radar target, and recognition probability under the background of various clutters are studied based on this simplified model, moreover, the range profiles of several kinds of simplified target model are obtained by means of experiment, which further proves the practicability of frequency-stepped technique with high range resolution for target recognition.
