Abstract
Different open lid time influence the strength of shock waves in launch box. To research on the issue, this article conducts an unsteady numerical simulation on a missile, using RNG κ-ε turbulence model. Through analyzing the pressure contours and pressure plots of the walls of launch box, the spreading process of the shock waves is figured out and the strength of the shock waves in different situations are obtained. The conclusion is helpful for design of open lid process, and it also improves the design scheme for the next generation.
