Abstract

The fundamental issue of intra-body communication system design-body channel characteristics are studied in this work. The frequency range of body channel measurement is 100 Hz to 20 MHz which covers important low frequency bands for baseband transmission. A signal generator and an oscilloscope are used to measure the body channel characteristics, and wideband transformers are used to eliminate grounding interference. By analyzing the measurement results, the proper frequency range for intra-body communication is determined.
