LBO type-I noncritical phase-matched intracavity frequency-doubled 671 nm laser

Abstract

With a type-I noncritical phase-matched LBO crystal as the intracavity frequency doubler in a LD pumped Nd:YVO4 laser, a 671 nm laser output of 240 mW was obtained with 5.44 W absorbed pump power, and the optical-optical conversion efficiency is 4.4%. When the laser output is 150 mW, the short-period instability of laser output is less than 2.7%. The laser output can be increased by improving the temperature control of LBO crystal.
