Abstract

This paper gives the ML and MMSE estimation of the time response of channel using pilot sequence and gives an iterative detection of transmitted signals using EM algorithm, A method of estimating the statistics of channel and operating noise power is also given, the simulation results show that MMSE method has good performance than ML, and the performance of the iterative detection is better when the number of the iteration increases. By using the estimation statistics of the channel and noise power, the performance can nearly approximate the perfect channel state information.
