Abstract

The true representation of shock environment of underwater explosion is a precondition of designing and testing the ship equipment. The response characteristics of real ship in frequency domain and time domain under underwater explosion are analyzed. The analysis methods and theirs limitations of design spectrum and test spectrum are introduced and commented on. A method of time-domain conversion is proposed, and the numerical simulation of the typical ship equipment is carried out. The results show that the dynamic response of ship under underwater explosion could be divided into shock wave stage and bubble stage, and presents three-fold spectrum feature. Based on the equivalences of displacement, velocity and acceleration, the parameters of the corresponding waveforms could be gained from the shock spectrum through the analysis of impact overload. There is some difference among the implementation methods of shock test for the equipment on different installed bases.
