Abstract
Laser communication opens up the vast prospects for ground-space communication. System performance is influenced seriously by the phase disturbance caused by atmospheric turbulence and the problem may be solved by using the adaptive optics compensation. The phase disturbance is analysed. To take the Hufnagel turbulence mode as the example, the disturbance has been calculated by using the structure function concept. The compensation scheme of adaptive optics is demonstrated.
