Abstract

This paper introduces a new method to establish ballistic mathematical model based on firing table data. Ballistic integrated coefficients are estimated by a parameter identification method to establish the ballistic mathematical model. It is also proved that the differential equation model can be deduced from a ballistic trajectory, which is obtained from the firing table data. The results in actual artillery ballistic show that the proposed method can provide a more precise model compared with traditional lookup table schemes. This method may also present a more ideal and low-cost program for the ballistic fire-control modeling in the improvement of old artilleries and the construction of new artilleries.
