Identification and orientation of top attacking armor by using AC MMW fuze

Abstract

Studies features of target identification and orientation of AC MMW fuze. The principle of detecting metallic targets of MMW fuze is analyzed. Based on the measurement of armor targets, the difference of MMW signals between tank and interference objects is studied. The identification method that distinguishes signal amplitude, width in time domain and shape dimension of target is put forward according to the characteristics of targets. Based on target identification, the pitching scheme of detector is designed considering the dimension of target's top armor, delaying time of the system and the like, so as to realize target orientation.
