Abstract

This paper presents a coulomb tethered double-pyramid satellite format ion at GEO orbit including a cluster of controlled satellites and two uncontrolled counterweights. This formation can be applied to interferometry, collocation and other science experiments. The dynamics model of the formation is established. Furthermore, the Hamiltonian of the format ion is analysed. The equilibrium of the formation under certain conditions is discussed finally.
