Abstract

We propose a photonic approach for frequency identification of broadband microwave signal with a high resolution using a hybrid optical filter. A frequency resolution of 20 MHz and a measurement accuracy of 5.6 MHz are experimentally demonstrated within a measurement range of 2-35 GHz.
