Abstract

For a real electrically large airborne antenna array, its pattern with the near-field interfere in a complex EM environment is analyzed by using the GTD theory. Each element of the antenna array is considered as a dipole, then the object which influences the pattern of array in near-field of whole array can be considered in the far-field of element because of tiny size of element. According to the GTD theory, the ray path can be separately traced to compute the field of each element, and then the distribution of field for the whole array can be obtained by superposition of contribution of every array element. The analysis results of the field of an antenna array are compared to those obtained by HFSS software. The good agreement between them proves that the method can be widely used in EMC prediction for antenna array system in a complex environment.
