Abstract
Single crystals of cobalt-substituted gallophosphate LTA with an average particle size of ca. 100 μm were synthesized from a predominantly non-aqueous medium in the presence of cobalt acetate. The CoII cations incorporated in the gallophosphate framework were detected by X-ray energy-dispersive imaging, and ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS) diffuse reflectance spectroscopic analysis indicated that the Co atoms were substituted for penta-coordinated gallium.
