Abstract

A fitness inheritance based evolutionary algorithm (FIEA) was proposed to optimize the communication scheme of electric vehicle (EV). FIEA is an intelligent optimization tool for adjusting the control strategy parameters to cut down the redundant broadcast messages and to keep the reachability. In this article, an optimization engine, a simulator and a log analyzer were used to evaluate the performance of individuals. With the fitness inheritance technology, the whole simulation process can be accelerated clearly. The experimental results have shown that the FIEA algorithm is a powerful tool in optimizing probabilistic broadcasting strategy. With the proposed method, the running time can be shortened clearly.
