Abstract
A perimeter security system based on dual Mach-Zehnder interferometer is designed and researched. A cross-correlation algorithm is adopted to calculate the time difference of signals on two channels for locating invasion points. By means of processing data in segment, the stability and accuracy of system is improved effectively. An experiment with 2-kilometer-long sensing fiber is carried out, which shows that the dual Mach-Zehnder perimeter protection system can identify the position of vibration instantaneously and has a location accuracy of 200 meters at a sampling frequency of 2M, ensures stable long-time work as well.
