Abstract
Based on the relationship between approach translation velocity and coefficient of restitution, the dynamic behavior of a rotating circular plate impacting on a plane block was investigated experimentally using a high speed camera system. The effects of angular spin velocity on the coefficient of restitution have been discussed for difference approach translation velocities. The relationship between coefficient of indentation and angular spin velocity has been discussed. The coefficient of restitution has been obtained theoretically by numerical method for different translation velocity and different angular spin velocity. The relationship between coefficient of restitution and angular spin velocity has been performed. The results indicate a good correlation between the numerical and experimental results.
