Abstract

3D fine woven punctured C/C composite is a typical heterogeneous material. In this paper, by macroscopic tensile and compression tests, the fracture pattern morphology under different loading types and geometric sizes has been observed. The effects of different tensile and compression lengths and different transverse section areas on tension and compression property have been discussed. The change of stress-strain curves caused by the size effect has been analyzed. The relation of the dispersibility of material mechanics property and material geometric sizes has been investigated.
