Abstract
For a tandem warhead with a shaped charge precursor and a following projectile, the penetration of shaped charge to get a hole with big diameter is the key technology. The performance of a shaped charge warhead with arc-shaped liner penetrating into layered target was experimentally studied and theoretically analyzed. The penetration performance data of the shaped charges with arc-shaped liners were obtained, and the effect of liner dimension, liner apical angle and standoff on the penetrating power was analyzed. The results show that the shaped charge warhead with arc-shaped liner can generate the penetrating holes with reasonable depth (>3.0CD (charge diameter)) and diameter (≥1.0CD) on the layered target. The depth of hole decreases with the increase in the linear apical angle, and the diameter of hole increases with the increase in the liner apical angle. The analysis result is consistent with the experimental result.
