Abstract
The firing dispersion of wheeled-artillery affected by the initial velocity, the weight and the offsetting of projectile was studied by stepwise regression analysis method, and the algorithm of the method was established. The relativity analysis for impact coordinates was carried out based on the live firing-test data for the firing dispersion of a certain wheeled-artillery. The effects of the effect factors on firing dispersion were discussed. The regression analysis shows that the major factor affecting longitudinal range of projectile is initial velocity, and the major factor affecting lateral displacement is the mass of projectile. The results of the regression analysis accords well with the live firing phenomena. It is feasible and effective to apply the proposed stepwise regression analysis method to analyzing effect factors affecting firing dispersion of wheeled-artillery.
