Abstract

The influences of the plate thickness on enhanced lethality of rod filled with reactive materials were carried out combined with numerical simulations and experiment. Under the condition of rod filled with reactive materials perforating the plate, the numerical simulations show that the enhanced lethality increases with the increasing plate thickness. Comparing with impacting aluminum alloy plate, both the initiation efficiency of the reactive materials and enhanced lethality of rod against RHA plate are much greater. The experimental results also show good agreement with simulations.
