Abstract

This paper introduces an embedded switching architecture that fits well in the real time SAR image processing system. The architecture is designed to bridge the gap between the processing unit and the I/O interfaces, between the hardware and the software implementation, between the up-to-date equipments and the legacy heterogeneous system. SOPC solution based on large scale FPGA is one of the most preferable approaches in the state of arts. Finally, a practical airborne real time SAR image processing system based on this switching architecture is thoroughly discussed. And it is proved that the architecture is of efficiency, flexibility and scalability.
