Abstract

The geometric spin Hall effect describes spin-dependent transverse shifts in beam position observed in a tilted frame of reference. Here, we study the effects of orbital angular momentum on the shift. The results show that the orbital angular momentum causes a shift in addition to (and independent of) the shift caused by the spin.
