Abstract

Light high/medium entropy alloys with HCP structure are getting attention because of their high strength and good work hardening ability. However, low ductility is an urgent problem to be solved in them. In this paper, a lightweight medium entropy alloy TiZrAl with an HCP structure was used as the model alloy. The layered structure was transformed into a spherical structure through a thermal deformation process, which made the tensile strength up to 918 MPa, plasticity up to 19.36%, and showed good work hardening ability. This study provides a useful reference for the development of lightweight medium entropy alloys with high performance.
