Abstract

Pre wetting time is an important factor affecting the thermal safety of pyrotechnic compositions. The thermal decomposition mechanism was studied by using DSC technique to study the effect of different pre wetting time (0 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h) on the thermal decomposition mechanism of red pyrotechnic compositions. The change rules of thermal decomposition curves, reaction heat and activation energy of different pre wetting time was analyzed, AKTS software was used to simulate the self-accelerating decomposition temperature and thermal explosion critical temperature of red pyrotechnic compositions in different humidity and pre wetting time. The experimental results show that the temperature of the heat release peak and DTG peak temperature is decreased with the increase of the pre wetting time. The activation energy of different pre wetting time is obtained by AKTS simulation, and the simulation results are in accord with the calculated values, verify the feasibility and accuracy of the simulation.
