Abstract

In this paper, a dual-band millimeter-wave bandpass filter using folded uniform impedance resonators (UIRs) is proposed. Two coupling paths are formed by the λ4 UIRs and λ2 UIRs for two operation bands, respectively. The resonant frequencies can be easily controlled by adjusting the length of the UIRs. The selectivity performance is improved by introducing the source-load coupling. For demonstration, a dual-band filter with center frequencies at 24.5 GHz and 36 GHz is implemented using standard PCB fabrication technology. At 24.5 GHz and 36 GHz, the measured insertion losses are 1.37 dB and 2.83 dB, respectively. The measured 3-dB bandwidths for the two operation bands are 14.8% and 11.3%, respectively.
