Abstract

Based on Doppler distributed clutter (DDC) model, this paper gives the performance analysis for Doppler parameter estimation of airborne radar. Furthermore, a fast nonlinear operator (NLOP) method is also proposed to estimate clutter Doppler parameters for DDC model with modestly small Doppler angular spread. The proposed method directly gives the closed-form expressions for estimating parameters, and it may remarkably reduce the calculation amount and satisfy the real application of airborne radar.
