Abstract

This paper proposes a novel method of Doppler frequency extraction for Doppler radar scoring systems. For the time-frequency map of radar echo signal can show how the missile's Doppler frequency varies along the time-line, the Doppler frequency extraction becomes curve detection in the image-view. Then a curve detection scheme based on Randomized Hough transform (RHT) is applied to the binary version of the time-frequency map for Doppler frequency extraction. The experimental results show that the proposed method is effective and can overcome the shortcomings of piecewise processing.
