Abstract
The normally diving impact load of the truncated conical projectile was studied. A theoretical model for it was proposed; the impact loads of truncated conical projectiles with different velocities and head shapes were calculated; and the influences of the diving velocity, the head shape parameters, and the wet factor on the impact load were analyzed. The researched results provide references for predicting the diving impact load and designing the truncated conical projectile.
