Disaster risk communication practice: A comparison between the government of China and USA

Abstract

Aiming to the disaster risk communication, this paper compare the government system of China with USA to find out the strength and weakness in risk communication. The research analyzed two country's emergency management system, risk communication activities, and risk communication responsibilities. As the result of comparison research, this paper discussed the different structure between two countries, and presented advice to optimize the risk communication in China.
